Fun to make and fun to drink- this Pop Rock Spritzer recipe is both of those! Now don’t go thinking this is just for the kids. I mean, it is! But it is so delicious your whole family is going to love it. This would be fun for any holiday as you can switch the pop rock colors to go with the holiday you want. It would also be a fun drink to make for a kid’s party and involve the kids in the activity.
Let’s get STARTED
The ingredients are simple: Marshmallow Creme, Pop Rocks, Raspberry Sherbet, and Sprite.
Start by getting out whatever fancy or non-fancy glasses you want to serve the drinks in (I like these and these). Spread out your Marshmallow Cream in a shallow dish for easy dipping. The first step is dipping the rim of your glass into the creme. You want to dip it in evenly and rotate back and forth getting a light amount of creme on your rim. Too much and it will drip, too little and you just won’t get enough candies to stick.
Next step is immediately dipping into your Pop Rock candies. Again, you want to dump out lots of candies onto a shallow dish. Roll your cup back and forth all around the candies so you get a good amount on the rim and they mostly cover the creme.
We found it was best to dip the rims a bit ahead of party time so that we could take the time to get it right and also let the marshmallow creme harden up a bit before we poured the drink inside.
When you are ready to pour the drink, use a small scoop and add 2-3 scoops of raspberry Sherbet to the bottom of your glass. Immediately pour Sprite over the top of the Sherbet. Drink and enjoy!
See?! Simple and fun! I love both of those words. You will love this drink, it’s so fun taking a drink and having the pop rocks go crazy in your mouth. Our kids just walked around for 20 minutes taking a drink and showing all their cousins the noise it was making. It was fun to watch. Plus the actual taste of the drink is so good too.
Other Variations to try
This drink could be made so many different ways. Pop Rocks are definitely my favorite here because of how they make a party in your mouth. Some other fun ideas would be Nerds, crushed Oreos, even sprinkles! You can even swap the Sherbet for any color that fits your party best- green, orange, white (pineapple flavor). So many fun options!
Since there are 4 simple ingredients, this Pop Rock Spritzer Drink is a no-brainer. Make it for Easter and while you’re prepping check out all our tips from Nana for Easter Traditions to make your day memorable. I hope no matter what you are celebrating this can be a fun addition to your party. It was for ours. Let me know if you make it, I always love to hear!
