This recipe has been a long time favorite in our family. It’s one of those recipes that we didn’t make very often, usually saved for a very special occasion. So as you can imagine, when we made it, it was quite a treat. This cake should definitely be put on the counter in a cake pedestal, and every time you walk by, you just need to open it up and take a bite.
My mom originally got this recipe from our Pastor’s wife growing up, Peggy. Thank you Mrs. Clear!
Even though I’m not a chocolate lover, I’m always excited to pass on recipes that I think you all will love. My mom has been making this recipe for over 30 years now, and my middle sister Micah requests it for her birthday every year. It was the perfect cake for Chase’s 6th birthday party.
You’ll need a Bundt Pan and 11 Milky Way Bars, and from there, you are good to go. I hope you try it out for your next special event, or not so special, you be the judge on that. And lastly, don’t forget to pick up some Vanilla Ice Cream to go with it. I’m not sure if that needs to be said since cake and ice cream should always go together, but in case it does, I said it.
xo, Sarah
