Sometimes a ‘refresh’ is all you need. In life, in a day, and maybe even in your house. So after 10 years of the same furniture we decided to do a master bedroom refresh for Tim and I. Once we saw the amazing job our designer did in Lucy’s nursery (see that blog post here), we knew we wanted her to re-design our master bedroom as well. She made it better than we could have imagined! I am just so excited to show you around our new cozy and peaceful space.
The color in this room is called Iron Ore by Sherwin Williams. It feels both cozy and calming which is perfect for snuggling, reading, sleeping, and just connecting- it’s a color I would never choose on my own but it works perfectly. I’m so thankful for how peaceful this room feels and looks.

I have several favorite parts of this room. First is the color scheme- I wanted something peaceful which is why we went with decor featuring blue-ish green tones. Another favorite is the oversized chair in the corner. This was one of the first things I picked out. I knew I wanted something I could cozy up and read a book on or take a nap or snuggle with Tim (and the kids) AND it would hold us all. Since our room has a lot of wood in it, another favorite was choosing the soft, upholstered bed frame. It really brings in a warmth that I also love.

All the details for everything you see in each picture will be linked below the picture! If there’s anything I forgot, feel free to ask in the comments, and I’ll try my best to find the answer for you.
I hope you enjoyed seeing all the details about our master bedroom refresh. It’s fun to share and show, and I hope it inspires you. Maybe you’ll find something here that you’d like to add to a room in your home as well!

I love your home and your room is very peaceful and inviting. Perfect place to rest and recharge! Iโd love the link for your upholstered bed frame! Iโve been looking for one like it. Can you use a boxspring with it? I like the height a box spring provides a bed, but they donโt aways work with these types of frames. Thank you!

Erin JamesYes- it’s linked under the picture (and I also linked a similar one for less). Hope that helps.

Where is the paneling for the wall behind the bed from? Or what size boards are they ?
Thank you ๐
Sarah
HollyHi! They made it on site! So it’s a backing board, then battens to create that look and design!

This room is gorgeous. I love it! Could you please share where you got the white bedding under the linen quilt, please? Thank you!

I loved when you shared your white chair a few months ago. I feel like it looked the same as this oversized grey chair, but now I’m wondering if it was a different company since this link doesn’t show a white option for the oversized chair. Could you share where you got your white oversized chair again . Thanks so much!
Sarah
Jess CzernyHi Jess! Yes they are different for sure. The one in my master bedroom is double or triple the size of the white ones in my living room! Hope that helps! Feel free to message me for the link to the living room option!

What sheen do you choose for the walls and trim?
