If you are looking for a great theme for a gender neutral baby shower, this is it. We loved throwing Caitlin ‘A Little Cutie’ baby shower that was fun and perfect for spring. I actually got the idea from a friend through Instagram.
I think it’s nice to have one spot where you can really make the decorations shine. We did this with our big white wall as a backdrop, and used our wood dining table in front.
Over the table, we did a big balloon garland. Don’t be afraid of a balloon arch; you can buy kits on Amazon and they send you everything you need. Well, almost everything- add in a balloon pump and it’s a game changer. If you have kids, it’s great to have one on hand.
Along with the balloon arch, we did a gold banner that read ‘A little cutie is on the way’. We had ‘cutie’ napkins and the most beautiful cookies from Nikki’s Cookies alongside all the other food. I think if you can use real plates and glassware for an event, it can really be beautiful. But if not, paper goods are just great. Decor details below.
gender neutral baby shower decor:
Napkins (found at Home Goods)
Gold Banner : ‘A little cutie is on the way’ (Made with the Cricut)
The food is always so fun for my family. We love trying or coming up with new recipes. Below is everything we made. Our goal was for everything to be fresh, light, and springy. We loved how it all turned out.
Food:
Burrata Crostini (recipe to come)
Mandarin Poppyseed Salad (recipe to come)
Mixed Fruit in Halved Orange Rinds
Mini Poppyseed Bundt Cakes (recipe to come)
My other favorite area was our Mom-osa Bar. We did 3 juice options- Peach, Mango, and Orange. Then 2 Sparkling options- Sprite and Sparkling Water. Girls could make their drink and then add a lemon or lime wedge. It was really fun and beautiful. You could get fancy glasses or find plastic drink ware.
Depending on your crowd, it’s usually always fun to do a game during a baby shower. It gets people up and moving, and it’s great to see people interacting and laughing. I did the jelly-bean game that my mom shares about in her Easter blog post. Check it out- it’s so fun and simple to put together. All you need is a tub or two of Jelly Beans from Costco.
I hope this gives some great inspiration for your next party. Whether it’s a baby shower that you are trying to keep gender neutral, or you just want a few fun food ideas for your next party, let me know if you found any of these ideas helpful. As always, it’s fun to see and hear when you guys try something that you see here.

Everything looks so good!! Was the balloon arch really easy? I’m thinking about doing one ourselves for my daughter’s bridal shower after checking g the prices of local companies that do them. Also, great food ideas for our shower.
Sarah
Tracie MolizonHi Tracie! Yes, you should definitely try doing it yourselves. I’ve bought multiple kits from Amazon, and each time I’m nervous it won’t turn out and they look awesome! But definitely get the balloon pump I recommended or it would not be fun to blow up all those balloons, haha!
