I think by now you are all aware of how much I love fruit! My mom surprised me on my birthday with this beautiful and fun fruit pizza! It’s one of my favorite desserts! My mom is a total chocolate lover but she knows me and what can be better than Nana’s Famous Sugar Cookie dough topped with a cream cheese frosting and lots and lots of fruit! And it’s super pretty also! I call that a bonus in my book! She loaded up on all my favorite fruits and her and the boys created this masterpiece.
So Happy Birthday to me!!! I’ll be the one over here feasting on dessert!
Start with 1 batch of Nana’s Famous Sugar Cookie dough recipe. Once cooled, top with the Cream Cheese Frosting. After you have sliced and patted dry all your fruit, arrange it in a fun pattern. My mom did a more unique pattern this time, but check out the photo below for another idea.
One thing I love about this dessert is that it can be made for so many occasions. Valentines Day? Pick things like strawberries, raspberries, and pomegranates (reds and pinks) and even shape the cookie dough into a heart. 4th of July? Pick fruits in red, white, and blue (shape in a rectangle for a flag too)! You get the general idea. Try it out and let me know what you think in the comments. I hope you all will love it as much as I do!
xo, Sarah
