Yes! I am also a registered nurse and graduated nursing school in 2010. I worked for 3 years full time before deciding to stay home with our kids. I have also worked for brief periods as a clinical instructor for our local nursing school. And right now I love getting to be a SAHM, homeschool the kids, and what I do on Instagram (and now blog too) is my current job!
I think we always figured we would have at least 4 children. And we are so thankful that God has given us 7 wonderful kids!
I started my Instagram in 2015 as a way to practice my new hobby of photography. I was feeling a bit lonely and needed an outlet/hobby. So I picked up our camera and started teaching myself how to use it. I then started posting pictures I would take of the boys on Instagram which evolved into them modeling clothes for small shops. In 2018 we moved into a new house and I changed our Instagram name as well as started sharing more of our lives versus just pictures of the boys and products. I began to find a sense of community within Instagram and when I shared about things I had walked through as a wife, mother and woman, other women could relate. Today, I continue to use Instagram as a way to connect with and encourage others in their season of life while sharing about our family and things we love!
We live in Washington state. Tim grew up in several different WA cities while Sarah grew up in a small town in Oregon.
Definitely our family room. It’s nestled between our kitchen and school room and really is where a lot of life happens in our home. You have a beautiful view of the lake wherever you sit. We have a giant sectional couch that everyone can fit on and it sits next to a cozy fireplace which keeps us warm in the winter. You can see what’s happening in the kitchen and also the kids playing in the schoolroom at the same time. Sunlight pours in and makes it bright and the perfect place to hang out.
My first Children’s Book ‘I Grew With You’ was released in August of 2021. It’s the sweet story of a woman’s journey through pregnancy that is fun for children and memorable for adults! It reads and rhymes like a lullaby.
My 2nd Children’s book ‘The Song that Goes On and On and On and On’ was released in October of 2022. It is also a rhyming book written just for kids that is full of fun, unique animals and also shares a sweet message of joy to every reader.
You can find both on Amazon.
I have two! The first is Proverbs 11:25 “The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” I love how it talks about generosity and living open handed. And it’s a great reminder to live our lives in a way that refreshes and encourages others.
The second verse is Romans 8:11 “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” To me this verse speaks to the power of the Holy Spirit living within us and how Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit as a gift to help us in every avenue of life. God is a generous God and He wants us to live boldly for Him!
I am so excited to share this book with you all. Well Said* is a book that I hope will be an encouragement to everyone no matter their season of life. It released in October of 2023 and it can be found where all books are sold!
